Empire

bespoke stone dining table

Grand in proportion, quiet in manner. Empire is a dining table that commands a room without raising its voice — the confidence of material and scale that needs no ornament. It seats ten as naturally as it seats four. It makes the occasion.

The Table

Grand in Proportion, Quiet in Manner

There are rooms that call for a dining table with real scale — where a modest piece would look apologetic, where the architecture demands something that matches its ambition. Empire was made for those rooms. Its proportions are generous without excess; its presence is natural rather than imposed. It does not announce itself, but it is never missed.

Stone as Occasion

A stone dining table of this scale is, in itself, an occasion. It transforms a room — not by decoration, but by the simple weight and permanence of the material. Empire is for clients who understand that the best interiors are built around a few true pieces, and who want a dining table that will still be the best thing in the room in thirty years' time.

Stone & Surface

Empire is offered in Calacatta, Nero Marquina, and Statuario. At dining table scale, the slab's full character is visible across the entire surface — veining that at smaller dimensions would be intimate becomes architectural here, a composition in itself. We select and photograph slabs with this in mind, and share the options before any work begins.

Empire is available in configurations that seat six to fourteen comfortably. Standard lengths are designed around the typical 60cm per person allocation. For unusually large rooms or formal dining spaces, we have produced Empire tables at exceptional scale — the slab selection and logistics for these are handled with particular care, and we discuss them individually with each client.

In most residential construction, existing floor structure is adequate for a stone dining table. We recommend a structural survey for very large tables or for installations on upper floors of older buildings. Our team conducts a site assessment prior to delivery and will advise if any preparation is required. We coordinate with architects and structural engineers as needed.

Empire is delivered by specialist stone logistics teams. The table is typically transported and assembled in situ — base first, then top — to avoid issues with doorways and circulation. Access routes are assessed in advance. White-glove installation is included, and our team oversees the process through to final levelling and sign-off.

Yes. The standard Empire base is a solid stone trestle — an austere, powerful form that suits the scale of the table. For clients who need to maximise seating at the ends, or who prefer a more architectural base, we offer a solid slab base option and a metal trestle in brushed brass or powder-coated steel. These are discussed during the design consultation.
